Competency based teaching has replaced the text based teaching. Texts are simply guidance in this context for those who adhere with this whole educational process. The students have to be skilful in these competencies. Thus, in Kendriya Vidyalaya Chapra the Education from Class III to V is child oriented rather than to teacher oriented.
In this regard, the education is reaching to the students according to their Minimum Level of Learning. The teaching is activity based and all the students have to must play their part at the level of their MLL. This way of teaching completes the learning by doing process and makes it joyful and interesting to the students where the teacher is a guide. In spite of educational activities the students come across the different co-curricular activities like dance, drama, drawing, painting, music and other sports, Medium of teaching is bilingual and promoting one to Spoken English.
Evaluation System is based on Grade with a support of value points and re-efficient illustration supplied by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on various aspects like question, tests, evaluation, preparation of result etc. in this connection.
Recently Common Minimum Program has been introduced by KVS to enhance the quality of education so that the children of Primary section should be benefited more and more.
